Supporting customers via on-line product training and webinars
May 04 in News
At KYOCERA SGS, we are always working hard to help industry adapt to change. This means we’re well prepared to support manufacturers during the Covid-19 crisis. In addition to meeting high standards of health and safety as always, we are striving to ensure our customers can access the products, training and support they need. This has involved swiftly and strategically adapting existing ways of working as well as adopting new approaches.
Online bespoke training and presentations
Our Sales Engineers have swapped being out on the road to being active online and supporting customers on a virtual basis. They are now providing bespoke training on cutting tools and presentations on product ranges through dedicated webinars.
Industry webinars
The lockdown makes it much more challenging for companies to form valuable connections with each other and stay up to date with current and emerging industry issues. This is why we’re working closely with industry associations, the Aluminium Federation (ALFED) and the West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF), to host webinars throughout June on key topics such as problem solving in machining applications.
By continuing to innovate, we’re doing our best to help our customers to succeed and support their own customers through these challenging times.
Dave Colton, European Sales Director at KYOCERA SGS, said:
“Now is the time to brush up on your cutting tool knowledge by contacting SGS about bespoke product training. We can offer on-line training sessions on subjects such as,
- Aluminium machining APR and APF
- Titanium milling
- High Nickel Alloy milling
- Hard metal finishing
- APR Long reach, PRW and PRB
- UK made specials
Tony Theaker, UK and Strategic Sales Manager at Kyocera SGS, explains further: “In these uncertain times it is easy to focus on the present and not the future. With this in mind we have been continuing to work with our customers on manufacturing improvements but have adapted the way we work to take account of current restrictions by delivering applications support from our team of engineers by video conferencing rather than the usual site visits.
This has come in the form of exclusive video calls to companies on their individual needs and training requirements to open webinars for any interested party to join and learn about what Kyocera SGS has to offer.
Whilst this difficult time presents its challenges, it also presents an opportunity for manufacturers to learn about the new technologies Kyocera SGS has developed to help create a better way of manufacturing in the future.”
