A New Chapter Begins: Kyocera SGS Celebrates the Official Opening of its New European Headquarters

Kyocera SGS Precision Tools Europe proudly celebrated the official opening of its new European Headquarters in Fradley, Staffordshire, marking a significant milestone in the company’s continued growth and long-term investment in advanced manufacturing across Europe.

The new headquarters brings together Kyocera SGS and Kyocera Unimerco under one roof for the first time, creating Kyocera’s largest cutting tool manufacturing operation in Europe and reinforcing the Group’s commitment to innovation, manufacturing excellence and exceptional customer support.

The opening reception welcomed customers, technology partners, distributors, government representatives and international leaders from across the Kyocera Group to celebrate this important occasion.

Guests were welcomed by Hugh Welch, Managing Director of Kyocera SGS Precision Tools Europe, before hearing from Dave Robertson MP, Member of Parliament for Lichfield, Burntwood and the Villages, Tomoaki Hirano, President of Kyocera SGS and Henrik Schurmann, President of Kyocera Unimerco.

The ceremony concluded with the official ribbon cutting, performed by Dave Robertson MP, Henrik Schurmann and Tomoaki Hirano, formally opening the new headquarters and marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Kyocera’s Precision Tools businesses in Europe.

Reflecting on the significance of the investment, Hugh Welch said:

“This new headquarters represents far more than a new building. It demonstrates Kyocera’s long-term commitment to our customers, our employees and the future of advanced manufacturing in Europe. Guests then enjoyed a hosted showround of the new facility, gaining first-hand insight into the expanded manufacturing, logistics and technical capabilities that will support customers across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, medical, automotive and precision engineering.

The Fradley headquarters represents one of the most significant investments in the history of Kyocera SGS Precision Tools Europe and provides a strong platform for future growth, enhanced customer collaboration and continued innovation across the Kyocera Group.
