Bulb (Form) Tools

SGS developed tooling and processes used on next generation turbo fan engines. The fan disc slot form tool (bulb tool) is used to machine the finished slot form.

    • Finishing tool life increase from 1 disc to 12 discs.
    • Tools recycled reducing consumable costs massively. Up to 9 tools from one blank.
    • Surface finish improvement.
